There is no question that billionaire businessman Donald Trump has brought a new level of risk and threat upon himself with his presidential campaign, as some of his detractors would literally prefer to see him dead than sitting in the White House.
That threat has now extended to his family, as his son Eric recently received a letter in the mail containing a suspicious white powder, according to ABC News (viaYahoo).
The FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force has now teamed up with the Secret Service, the NYPD and the Postal Inspector to lead an investigation into the matter.
Thankfully, preliminary tests revealed the powder to be nonhazardous, though its mere presence has raised security concerns for both Trump and his family.

The letter arrived in the mail on Thursday at Eric Trump’s apartment in the Trump Parc East building, and was opened by his wife, Lara.
The letter was postmarked from Boston and contained a handwritten note which threatened: “If your father does not drop out of the race, the next envelope won’t be a fake.”
Though Secret Service protection only extends to Donald Trump at the moment, the NYPD nevertheless notified the protective agency immediately and set about checking for similar threats in the mail at other Trump-owned locations around the city.
A statement from the NYPD read: “At approximately 7:15 p.m., the NYPD responded to a residential building at 100 Central Park South to investigate a report of a suspicious letter received by a tenant. The letter has been removed and is being examined by law enforcement authorities. No injuries have been reported in connection with this incident.”
This is both chilling and unfortunate, though not incredibly surprising when viewed in light of the openly homicidal invective being hurled Trump’s direction by the radical hate-mongers on the left.
Trump’s children, who have been quite visible on the campaign trail in support of their father’s efforts, have unfortunately found themselves drawn into the dark and seedy underbelly of the political game, which sadly includes death threats and assassination attempts as a matter of course.
Hopefully this remains as nothing more than an empty threat, and the perpetrator of this incident will be tracked down and held accountable for their illegal and threatening actions.
